The EM Team

Here is a list of our contributors with a short Bio of each.

Sarah Mogin has a burn book, and you’re in it. From translucent Wimbledon attire to dollar-sign-infused musical aliases, questionable time travel methods (hot tubs? really?) to flamboyant Russian spy techniques, and — ugh — Katy Perry, Ms. Mogin has little patience for this world and its shenanigans. Barring certain soft spots — Vampire Weekend, Adrien Brody, and the late Jerome David Salinger — this blogger exists to satirize, criticize, and, in her spare time, tantalize. Hobbies include brooding, riding the G train, and MacGyvering CSS code. Her hair is full of secrets. (Check out Sarah’s after hours blog @ ebonyirony.com.)

Daniel Adler was born in Brooklyn. At 10 he moved to Portland, O. He returned to N.Y.U. to study philosophy and high literature. A purveyor of the fine, the good, and the beautiful, he prizes love and words. The biking trails from Bushwick to Flatbush provide him with time to mull over how best to describe the curve between a woman’s hamstring and gluteus maximus, the absurdity of Sarah Palin’s popularity, and a fine burgundy or pinot noir. He is finishing his first novel. (See more of Daniel’s work @ Daniel Adler’s Internet Warehouse)

Eric Marmon is a retired whaler, and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in Rockville, Maryland, though he’s convinced he was raised in Philly. He can recite all the lyrics to the first verse of Outkast’s “Bombs Over Baghdad.” He believes God has selected him to write the Third Testament, stating “I’m supposed to finish the Trilogy!”  He loves sushi, his football team, and the taste of his own foot in his mouth… but not in that order. Eric has also been known to Google himself late at night when he’s lonely. (Find more of Eric’s work @ ATHbaseball.com, Xtrapointfootball.com, and NYSportsDigest.com)

Shani Muschel is a loving mother of two, if you count her husband. Her popular culture critiques are poignant and scathing– and so are her office politics, especially if you crack your knuckles. Born and bred in the five towns, today Shani lives in Queens. She is a TV connoisseur and a 60′s and 80′s music aficionado, and contributes to EM!! when she recognizes disorder on the site. Her renowned top 5 lists are also used by Gawker, the Huffington Post, and the L Magazine. She has a photographic memory for song lyrics, which she displays in and out of the shower; she is a part time chef, and frequently uses the Food Network for inspiration; and she loves  flip flops, slam dunking, Glee, and gefilte fish.

Kristen Mollica was born in the fires of Mount Doom sometime during the Second Age. After leaving Middle-earth and spending a few years in the Grey Havens, she finally settled down somewhere on Long Island. She spends hours each day listening to music, mostly comprised of hard rock, metal, electronica, and that lovable absurdity, Lady Gaga. Somewhere in between she hangs out with secret ninjas, watches The Food Network, contemplates black holes, and drinks craft beer. Her powers of awesome are beyond epic proportions and most humans can’t handle it. (Check out what’s on tap at Kristen’s beer blog @ Journey to Beer Enlightenment)
