Ines Sainz, a former Miss Universe contestant, is an idiot. She’s mad that the Jets players gave her too much lovin’. Well, why did you, the putative “hottest sportscaster in the world” go into sports? Don’t you realize that as the only woman in a locker room, a place sacred to sweaty men, that you will be jeered at, especially with an ass like that?
Okay her eyebrows are pretty dark. But that body is outta control. So when she went to do a story on Mark Sanchez and was surprised to receive the attention she did, it seems; well, rather silly.
And while the Jets are probably the least professional team in football, that provides an even bigger reason to expect catcalls and hollers when you enter their locker room as a supermodel.
Hello? Get a clue Sainz. If you’re going to be a sports reporter, at least make it a novelty and wear a bikini into the locker room, so you know what you’ll be getting yourself into.

Point:
As many of you know, the Emmy Awards took place Sunday night. The awards show itself was largely forgettable, but a highlight, if not the highlight, of the show was the opening sequence. While I thoroughly enjoyed the skit/performance, I couldn’t help but be reminded of another moment that took place 9 long years ago… And so I ask, was the Emmy opening not, for all intents and purposes, the 2010 version of the 2001 MTV Superbowl halftime show? Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed it last night, and I’m not trying to take anything away from it, because I was truly, absolutely giddy throughout the whole thing.
But my 16 year old self really enjoyed the 2001 superbowl halftime show, too. And so, I present to you a comparative study.

On Sunday, baseball lifer Lou Piniella stepped down as manager of the Chicago Cubs, going off quietly into the night in a 16-5 loss to the Atlanta Braves.
Piniella spent two decades playing in the Big Leagues for the Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Royals and New York Yankees. His managerial career included stints with the Yankees, Cincinnati Reds (where he won a World Series), Seattle Mariners (where he won a record-tying 116 games in a single season), Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Chicago Cubs. To many experts, baseball has lost a legend. (more…)
