I seriously thought that I was seeing things when I saw the headline “Joe the Plumber Wins GOP on Super Tuesday.” I really thought I was seeing things when I saw that Gingrich won Georgia, and I definitely didn’t believe that Santorum won Oklahoma.
I guess none of this should be a surprise. Politics news out of the GOP camp has been absolutely insane this year. I really thought that the debates were the best entertainment I had seen in a long time. It was definitely better than that stupid show Lost or The Bachelor/ette. It was a train wreck that I couldn’t look away from and to be honest I was kind of dreading Super Tuesday because it meant that the era of amazing political entertainment was over.
Or so I thought.
It turns out that the Grand Old Party has no idea what they want. To be more specific they have no idea WHO they want. If yesterday was and example of anything it definitely showed how incredibly divided the Republican party is over who should represent them as President.
What does this mean? Well, it means that the GOP really needs to solidify before the general election or it could pose a real problem for the election of a Republican nominee.
It also means that we get more absolute insanity from the candidates on National TV. Keep the popcorn out, folks.
