@JoseCanseco RIP

I hate Baseball. I do not say this as a person who thinks not liking sports makes him better than everyone else, that would be a pointless thing to try to relate on all the dummies who love sports. I say this today because I love the cult of personality surrounding many professional athletes even as I find their profession mostly boring. I enjoy the underdog spirit of a Jeremy Lin and the arrogant Hitler mustache wearing of Michael Jordan. I like the way those twins who play tennis seemed to be mirroring each other on 60 Minutes that one time.

More than possibly any athlete though, in the past few weeks I have fallen head over heals for Jose Canseco because I love Twitter. Sadly though, he has chosen to discontinue his Twitter account all together. Sigh.

So while we mourn the loss of this great Tweeter we may all quietly pray for him to come to his senses and come out of Twetirement. We may also continue to experience his greatest hits right here at THIS LINK.
