The Oscar Nominations Disappoint

Hey guys! It’s Oscar nomination day and you know what that means! Complaining!

Yes once again the Oscars have failed to nominate everything we liked and get this, they even nominated some things we hate. What do we hate? Albert Nobbs, even though we didn’t see it. What do we like? Albert Brooks, even though he was mean to board certified dream-boat Ryan Gosling in that movie.

Other things we don’t like about the Academy Awards include Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close. That movie is about 9/11, is the Academy saying they are into 9/11? I’m not too political but that doesn’t seem right.

It wasn’t all pro-9/11 propaganda at the nominations today though. They also nominated that movie that looks like an old movie except John Goodman is in it. George Clooney and Brad Pitt got nominations for looking handsome and charming. Jonah Hill got nominated for doing the opposite I think. Other nominees included Woody Allen, the Muppets and Stephen Spielberg’s movie about a horse.

In all, a lot of people got nominated for awards and yet more people didn’t. I guess that’s just how these things go but it doesn’t seem fair. If we are going to reward the cast of Moneyballz shouldn’t we also reward the cast of Adam Sandler’s Jack and Jill. They all did essentially the same thing. Adam Sandler even played a lady, a move that I like to call a reverse Nobbs.
