True Blood Rolling Stone Cover Provides Little For The Imagination
18 Aug
It’s a big day for vampire gossip.
The same day that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson got “caught,” a sneak peak of the new Rolling Stone cover was released. The photo features Anna Paquin, Alexander Skarsgard, and Stephen Moyer of HBOs TrueBlood dressed in… well… nothing.
They are, however, covered in blood, a scene not too unfamiliar for fans of the show.
The more fanatic of TrueBlood fans will notice the only actual clothing item or accessory featured in the photo is the engagement ring on Paquin’s hand, a plot-line between her and Moyer’s characters that has seemingly been lost in the series reality-show-esque ability to drag out stories.
However, the article in the magazine has little to do with the show itself, and more to do with how the show’s stars handle shooting the plethora of nude scenes that are required.
Paquin wears a patch. Skarsgard passes on “socking” (if you don’t know what that means, just take a guess). And Moyer, Paquin’s real-life fiancé, covers up his parts during nudey scenes, allegedly “out of consideration for others.”
“I’ve got nothing to hide,” Moyer protests. “I just think it might be embarrassing for the crew.”
Uh-huh. That’s exactly what Steven Dourcberger use to say in my High School locker room when we’d ask why he wore a bathing suit in the shower. We didn’t believe him either.
Still, as far as Rolling Stone mag covers go, we think the one with Lady Gaga was much weirder.

hooray for naked people
