The Obama Mosque

Obama’s middle name is Hussein, and it has just leaked that he is actually related to Osama Bin Laden. That was them on Spring Break ’06. With Obama’s support of the new mosque in downtown NYC, which we at EM! vehemently support for the same reason our putative terrorist president does, he has created waves of disgust.
Mosques waiting to be approved around the country have met with censure from Republicans and the American citizenry at large. Ah, racism. Believe me, I don’t like burqas any more than you do, but what I do stand for is freedom. Many Americans believe that the new mosque will become a center for Jihadism, and that a mosque in downtown Manhattan means an imminent 9/12.
Hellooo?? This is America. Mowrnow. You don’t like the Muslims, move to Iceland. Lord knows there ain’t any there. We are the best because we allow all kinds of people into our country. And believe me, I’m a native New Yorker, I felt the pain of 9/11, but I don’t feel like I’m being shot in the back by Obama approving a mosque near the new World Trade Center almost 10 years later. Besides, that mosque is dwarfed by the 1776 ft (how badass) WTC. You think we’ll allow Jihads to congregate so close to that monstrous symbol of American strength? Building it will make it easier for us to monitor and eradicate homegrown Islamic extremism.
This isn’t just a liberal voice calling into the woods: these are the freedoms GW, Tommy J, and Ben Franklin stood for. If you prevent the mosque, you might as well not even build the new WTC, or at least make it 1478 ft (1478 was the year of the Spanish Inquisition, kids). Grow up already.
Although no mosques, there are about 371 members of The Association of Muslims in Iceland.
