Sarah Palin: Obama and Oh, Boobs

She’s invaded our bookshelves, proven herself a liability on CBS Evening News, and — probably accidentally — revived a flailing Saturday Night Live. So, what is Sarah Palin’s next pop cultural medium of choice? Facebook: the final frontier of people who think they have something to say.
The former Alaska gov. rogued it up last night on her Facebook profile, posting a note (“liked” by 9,650 internerds and counting) criticizing Obama for his post-oil-spill performance — specifically, that he’s never directly communicated with Tony Hayward, the CEO of BP, a fact the Prez admitted yesterday morning on NBC.
Obama’s justification: “Because my experience is, when you talk to a guy like a BP CEO, he’s going to say all the right things to me. I’m not interested in words. I’m interested in actions.”
He also sad “ass” on TV, also yesterday, on an interview with ABC:
In my admittedly prObama opinion, Palin’s attack is pure shock value. It’s true, when I heard that Obama had not spoken to Hayward, my gut reaction was of the WTF, mate?-variety.
But then I remembered about these things called facts. Obama’s handling of the oil spill should be evaluated not by whether or not he’s spoken to one specific individual, but by all of his actions combined—his visits to the gulf, his communication with expects, etc. Only then can we decide whether or not he deserves a Facebook thumbs up.
In lighter news, online gossip sites a’plenty have spent the morning speculating on whether or not Mrs. Palin got a boob job. This comes in response to some rather busty pictures of SP at last weekend’s Belmont Stakes. While some are crying implants, others insist that Palin’s twins are all natural—or, the natural result of a push-up bra under a thin t-shirt, anyway.
Me? I just like this headline from the Boston Herald: “Sarah Palin (DD-Alaska)?” Awesome.
