Helen Thomas Retires; Should Be Punched in the Face

Longtime Washington left-wing journalist and seven-dwarfs-wicked-witch-look-alike Helen Thomas retired this morning on the heels of her controversial comments telling Jews in Israel to “get the hell out of Palestine.”
Ironically, Thomas made these comments after leaving a Jewish Heritage Month celebration.
She has since apologized for her comments, saying in a written statement that she “deeply regrets” her words. Thomas also claimed to have a “heart-felt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance.”
So, to sum up: Helen Thomas thinks peace can only be achieved when everyone involved shows mutual respect. However, Helen Thomas also thinks the Jewish people need to “get the hell out of Palestine”… hardly a respect-filled statement… and return to places like Poland and Germany, nations they left due to genocide.
Therefore, Helen Thomas does not feel a need to express mutual respect.
Therefore, by her own logic, Helen Thomas does not want peace.
It would seem, at the ripe old age of one-thousand-and-fifty-seven, Helen Thomas is far too old to change her opinions. Logic, diplomacy, and the promise of peace will not be able to shift her thought process. It is blood that Thomas is looking for, and she will not be satisfied until she gets it.
And that is why Helen Thomas needs to be punched in the face.
Someone should remind the old bag that she is of Lebanese decent, and therefore, as a non-Native American, could under the same thought-process be told she needs to “go home” as well, along with another 310,000,000 citizens of the United States who would fall into the Helen Thomas category of “needing to go home.”
By Helen Thomas’ logic, all African-Americans need to go back to Africa, all Mexican-Americans back to Mexico, etc. By Thomas’ logic, everyone on the planet needs to return to the birthplace of their ancestors.
This wasn’t, by the way, a radical radio host like Don Imus or Rush Limbaugh attempting to attract attention by discussing controversial opinions. This was the senior White House correspondent representing an allegedly respectable media organization who gets a seat reserved for her right in front of the President of the United States. And despite being older than the Emancipation Proclamation and using more lipstick than the entire Amsterdam Red-Light district, Thomas until recently had seemed to have a lock on the highly-coveted journalist position (despite no longer being an actual journalist).
While we are thrilled that Thomas has willingly given up her embarrassingly cozy spot in the White House Press Corp, this writer still stands by the above statement that she should, as soon as possible, be punched in the face.
However, this writer would be just as satisfied if she got the hell out of America.
You know what the worst part about thiz is? Rite after she says “Tell ‘em to get the hell out of Palestine!” she laughs! It’s more like a freakin’ cackle, but she laughs! Like the idea of them getting out is some kind of joke.

I hope that this outburst (the real Helen Thomas)negates whatever she has accomplished in her lifetime. What an ignoramus!

Helen Thomas, I salute you. If people like you survive & multiply (and you’ve made more journalists than they’re able to count) there will be peace in Palestine. If they multiply, people like you might fall silent. I find your quip offensive in many ways. Hard luck, I might not want to lunch with you after this, Ms Thomas – but am even less willing to lunch with hypocrites either. I’m afaid I’ll go hungry – but that’s life. respect
