Glee Returns with Madonna and Guests Stars Galore

Calling all Gleeks! (Yes, that’s a word.) Fox’s peppiest program returned last night for its spring installment, raking in an impressive 13.6 million viewers.
The episode was called “Hell-o,” and for good reason — in addition to showcasing punny musical numbers like “Gives You Hell,” “Hello” and “Hello, Goodbye,” it also literally welcomed viewers back after an absurd four month hiatus.
And, no surprise, those four Glee-less months were not without their consequences, as AV Club observes. Said interim gave the show a chance to get hyped and over-hyped, creating sky-high expectations that even Glee might have trouble fulfilling.
Still, Glee‘s spring episodes look promising, including next week’s Madonna-themed hour, as well as a slew of forthcoming guest stars, including Olivia Newton-John and Neil Patrick Harris.
